Digital Resilience - Introduction

3.50

This assembly -

  • Helps to make young people aware of the risks of using online devices

  • Looks at what they can do to reduce the effects of their use so that they can enjoy the benefits and minimise any harm.

  • By the time most young people in the UK reach the age of 14 they will have spent the equivalent of 6 months looking at their phone during that period. That’s 3.5 % of their life so far by this stage. If you spend 6 months doing something it will have some impact on you Digital Resilience helps to minimise any risks in this time.

  • This assembly doesn’t criticise what young people do with their phones, it’s designed to make us all think - about the good bits and not so good bits of phone use.
